Wifi Power Saving Mode on the Steam Deck

If you’re having connection issues on the Steam Deck, especially on a 5Ghz connection, you might need to disable “Wifi Power Management.”

Disabling wifi power management may increase connection reliability on 5Ghz networks.

In order to access this option, you need to turn on developer mode.

First, navigate to the Developer menu in Settings.

Then, navigate down to Miscellaneous.

Here, you can toggle off “Enable Wifi Power Management” and you will be prompted to restart your Steam Deck.
